       JSC  Assignment 

My first day at school is one of the most memorable days of my life. The day was Sunday 1 January 2008. I went to a very nearby Govt. primary school with my grandfather by Rickshaw. I had many unknown fears in my mind for the first day of school. After reaching school, I saw some students were playing in the field. We went to the Headmaster’s office room. There we met some teachers also. A very friendly teacher took us to my classroom. When my grandfather left me in the class, I understood that I was in a new and very unknown world. But, soon all of the students joined the assembly. The headmaster delivered a short speech welcoming us at the beginning of the year of our session. Then we returned to the class. After a while, our class teacher entered the class. He told us about many rules and important things.

After some time the first bell rang. Then a new teacher came. She was our English teacher. She told us an interesting story. I enjoyed the class. Really the teachers were very friendly to us. All my fear disappeared after the class. At last, the final bell rang. My father was waiting for me at the school gate. We came back home. After returning I felt upset and missed class time.  I will never forget the sweet memories of the first day at school.

  Write a dialogue with your friend about how to eradicate Illiteracy from Bangladesh. Myself:  Hello friend, how are you? Opu:  Fine, thanks. And you? Myself:  Same to you. Where are you going? Opu:  I am going to attend a seminar on illiteracy problem in Bangladesh. Myself:  That’s really a nice topic. It is one of the great problem which should be eradicated. Opu:  But how? Myself:  At first, education for the children at least up to class ten should be made free of cost as well as compulsory both for boys and girls. Opu:   But I think besides this, there should be a system for the old. Myself:  there is a system for the old but they are not attending seriously.
